Calix Rowland Memorial Award

The AAM Players Player was renamed in honour of Calix Rowland, who tragically lost his life in a road accident in 2024. Calix’s passion for the game, his club, and his teammates was unmatched. Both on and off the field, he embodied the true spirit of sportsmanship — kind, fierce, and loyal.

This perpetual award stands as a lasting tribute to Calix’s legacy, celebrating the qualities he represented so deeply: commitment, teamwork, and heart. Voted by the players themselves, it recognises the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year — the individual who, like Calix, is truly invaluable to their team and the Burragorang family.
